Fairview Press Manuscript Submission Guidelines

At this time we are particularly interested in acquiring manuscripts on the following topics: pregnancy and childbirth, health issues for young adults, complementary/holistic/integrative medicine, diet & exercise, and inspiration & mindfulness. We are de-emphasizing our former focus on end-of-life issues, but will consider proposals on any topic pertaining to physical, emotional, or spiritual wellness.

We publish practical books written for a lay audience, often by educated professionals who are active within their disciplines. We are not interested in fiction, poetry, children's picture books, or personal memoirs about coping with illness.

Please take the time to study our catalog and the guidelines before submitting a proposal. We prefer that you mail your proposal rather than submitting it by phone, fax, or e-mail.

Fairview Press is not responsible for lost or damaged submissions and will not respond to any submissions that do not include a self-addressed, stamped envelope (SASE).

Submissions should include:

  • Cover letter
  • Outline of book
  • Sample chapter(s)
  • Marketing plan
  • Self-addressed, stamped envelope
